Selena Siyeon is an artist based in NYC where she graduated with a BFA in Fashion from Parsons School of Design. Siyeon’s design sensibility translates into a decorative and colorful aesthetic with a philosophy rooted in the integration of fashion and her artwork such as photography and book making.

Siyeon studied at Parsons Paris in 2017, where she was the recipient of a prestigious sponsorship by The Woolmark Company. Her Spring Summer’18 accessory collection was sponsored by Politecnico Calzaturiero in Italy. Throughout her four year at Parsons, she received the Parsons Dean’s BFA Scholarship and won Parsons BFA Supplemental Award.

In May, 2018 Siyeon presented her womenswear thesis collection and book series ‘Heterotaxy: Different Arrangement’ at the Parsons School of Fashion Graduate Exhibition. This collection explores the rare disorder Heterotaxy where the heart and other organs are positioned abnormally on the opposite side of the body. Siyeon uses this unique condition and arrangement in her design process to inform her unique color sense, placement, and diverse layering of various materials, ultimately translating anxiety into beauty.

Upon graduation, Siyeon is working as an assistant designer for Calvin Klein.
